Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

  • The nurse on duty will have the primary focus of taking vital signs, medication management, waived testing, reviewing lab work, assessing patients, coordinating with outpatient services, communicating with the team and providing support to the team and patients with any ADL monitoring.

  • Strong communication skills are required for working with physicians on patients’ medical status and changes to medications and in communication with peers and leadership. When not on duty, communication with peers and leadership is required to fulfill shifts when needed.

  • Exercises strong documentation skills and able to use Electronic Medical Records program.

  • Engages in performance improvement activities and provides information in areas of infection control, risk and safety management, medication management, and record quality controls as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active license, RN/LPN in the State of Hawaii in process or completed

  • Active BLS and First Aid

  • Active Driver’s License

  • Strong communication skills

  • Understand the medications used in this population and their potential interactions and side effects

  • Recognize, intervene, and respond to emergency situations

  • Training and/or experience in eating disorders and/or other addictions is desired. Behavioral health experience a plus.

Job Type

  • 32-40 hrs. per week

Associate Therapist, VIOP

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group sessions on topics such as Process; Food and Feelings; Recovery Skills and others.

  • Documents all group sessions daily into the electronic medical record.

  • Supervise and participate by modeling intuitive eating at meals.

  • Participate in team meetings. Provide the team feedback on patient participation and behavior.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Therapy or equivalent education and life skills. [May need supervision for accruing hours for licensing].

  • Familiarity with facilitating groups via an online platform (Zoom).

  • Recognize, intervene, and respond to emergency situations.

  • Strong communications skills.

Job Type

  • Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week


 

Associate Therapist, Residential

Responsibilities

  • Conducts group sessions in topics such as DBT; Process; EFT; Mindfulness; Food and Feelings; Body Awareness, and others.

  • Individual, Couples, and Family sessions.

  • Supervises and participates by modeling intuitive eating at snacks and meals.

  • Supervises outings.

  • Participates in team meetings. Provides the team feedback on patient participation and behavior throughout the prior week.

  • Documents all group sessions daily into the electronic medical record.

  • Support patients in activities of daily living functions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Therapy or equivalent education and life skills. May need supervision for accruing hours for licensing. Please note: supervision will be overseen by a PhD.

  • Awareness of drugs used in this population and their potential interactions and side effects.

  • Recognize, intervene, and respond to emergency situations.

  • Strong communications skills.

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Serious candidates only please. Must be willing to relocate to Maui, Hawaii. Partial relocation allowance may be offered for the right candidate.

Volunteer

Responsibilities:

  • Potential to conduct non-clinical groups.

  • Supervises and participates by modeling good eating at snacks and meals.

  • Assist in supervision of outings

  • Participates in team meetings. Provides the team feedback on patient participation and behavior throughout the prior week.

  • Documents all group sessions daily into the electronic medical record.

  • Support patients in Activities of Daily Living functions.

Requirements

  • Degree in social work, psychology, therapy or equivalent education and life skills.

  • Ability to recognize, intervene, and respond to emergency situations.

  • Strong communications skills.

Job Type

  • This is a temporary position for a duration of 4-8 weeks. Flexible start date.

Other requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Ai Pono treatment approach and the work of Clinical Director, Dr. Anita Johnston.

  • Accepted candidates will be required to complete an online video orientation.
